This is a big game for both teams. It will put the Wolves on the inside track to winning the district and the Tigers are fighting for elimination from the playoffs already.
New London has a nice running back that is third in the district in rushing and is also an effective kickoff return man. He has two returns for touchdowns this year already. He is a big back with decent speed and has shown some toughness running the ball. New London also likes to throw the ball and will line up in multiple formations to make us defend an entire playbook.
We've tried to put in some new wrinkles this week but those pages have found the trash. We were not able to execute them so we are back to the original hits. They might be oldies but they are goldies. I guess the old saying, "If it ain't broke don't fix it" comes to mind when dealing with our offense. The coaching staff would like to be able to run the ball and be effective in the passing game when we take our shots. Pretty much the same game plan we've had all season.
We hope to see a lot of Wolves Nation down at New London on Friday. It is going to be a beautiful night for some high school football. Might need to bring the sweatshirt! Remember if you can't make it to listen in on The Wolvecast. You can find the link on the school website. Or click the word in red.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
