Kaleb Hagge will start competing at the state golf meet today. Kaleb comes in ranked 3rd in the state in class 1A. If the young man plays as he is capable of playing he should bring home some hardware.
Baseball had a game last night and improved their record to 2-0 (2-0) with a win over Lone Tree. It was an exciting game that the Wolves won in walk off fashion. Garret Baker made a big play for the Wolves defensively by throwing a kid out from his left field position. He threw to catcher Kolt Rossiter for the tag out. Football alum Thayne McElhinney started the game for the Wolves on the mound. Thayne gets the no decision while Baker came in as relief and pitched two quality innings. Leading the way offensively for the Wolves was Darren hunter with a double and Matthew Niebuhr also had a hit. Non-football player Ross Vantiger hit the game winner that scored Hunter from first.
It was a great win for the baseball team who plays again on Monday up at IMS. IMS is another good test for the Wolves. Hopefully the Wolves are up to the challenge. Don't forget to listen to the games on www.wolvecast.com. Thanks to all the sponsors.
That's all from here. I might not be posting everyday from here on out but I will post a couple of times during the week during the summer.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
