It has been a while since the last post. I apologize for that. We all know life can get in the way as well as coaching and teaching duties. Which are ultimately more important than keeping up on a blog.
We've had an up and down season. We made some wholesale changes from last year to this year. They are paying off. Just not in the win column. As I told our young men a week or so ago I appreciate how much they have improved. How much they compete. And how well they act. We had an AD from a school that we went to pulled me aside before we got on the bus to come home and tell me how respectful our guys were before and after the game in the hallways. That is great to hear and what part of coaching is about.
The guys on the team and the coaching staff continue to work hard and try and improve daily. We are working to get another victory this season as well as planting seeds for success in the coming years. We've been competing our tails off at the JV level. They have a victory over New London, and close losses to Lone Tree and WACO. The WACO one we played short handed due to injuries but we had guys step up and play positions in order to make it happen. I appreciate them for that.
We are on the downhill portion of our season and I am confident that our young men will continue to put forth championship effort even without the opportunity to play for it. I couldn't be more proud of our young men for how they've adapted, competed, and acted throughout this season.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
