On a cold and windy night that let us see a little winter precipitation it also allowed us to see a Wolves victory. Wolves Nation got to see a shut out over the North Linn Lynx. Wolves won the game 38-0. We jumped out to a quick lead 16-0 after the first quarter and led 30-0 at half. We were able to get a score in the third quarter to get to the running clock.
Bryce Robison had himself a game last night with 154 yards rushing and two TDs. He also led the team in the tackles and had two picks. Also he forced two fumbles. He would be the first one to tell you though it was a total team effort. The offensive line of Max Huston, Matthew Niebuhr, Sam Jennings, Warren Krieger-Coble, and Jordan Hudson did a great job of blocking up front. Darren Hunter had a nice first quarter and part of a second quarter. Darren scored a two point conversion and was landed on funny by a linebacker from North Linn. He was dinged up and we look forward to getting him back healthy. Until then I know that Darren will thrive in his new role of coaching and cheering on his teammates. Darren came up just short of 1000 yards rushing.
Defensively we played a great game. Coach Klopfenstein had a great game plan coming in against a top 5 passing team in Class A. We kept them well below their average yards and off the scoreboard. The boys played a physical game and executed at a high level.
We are playing host to Lynnville-Sully on Monday 11/2. Lynnville -Sully defeated our district runner up Pekin by a score of 36-34. We look forward to a couple days of prep and a big game vs the Hawks.
Big thank you to all of Wolves Nation that came out and supported us in the elements last night and to those that listened on KILJ and TheWolvecast. Thanks for all of your support.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
