Here we are in the middle of another work week. We are at midterm here at WMU and hopefully all of our athletes are taking care of business in the classroom so that they are eligible come season time.
Golf had a tournament yesterday. Kaleb Hagge won medalist by three strokes and as a team they finished 7th. Tough day to play golf with the chilly temps and strong wind. I am sure that the boys will bounce back on their next meet.
Track also ran last night. Football alumni Kyle Davis was victorious in the shot put. He has had a real nice season so far and looks to continue his hard work and get to Des Moines. I've been told that some of us are not getting as fast as we should be through track work. Keep working hard and striving to not only get better in track but becoming a better all around athlete through running as well.
As we finish the month of April it is a good time to make sure that you are dedicated to what you want to be in August. If you want just be a member of a team that struggles then you keep doing nothing like you are doing. If you want to be a contributing member to a potentially great team then you need to get in that weight room and sell out. You need to be doing your sprint work on your own if you aren't out for track and sell out. You can't do what you always have done and expect different results. If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got.
Happy Wednesday everyone.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
