NEWS ABOUT THE WMU FOOTBALL PROGRAM AND PARTICIPANTS
There has been a lot going on here this spring for WMU and the football program. First off many football players have enjoyed success during their spring seasons.
For Boys track a few highlights have been that Bryce Robison qualified and placed in the top 20 at the Drake Relays. Along with Robison, Baker, Zach Davis , and Ross Vantiger have set a new school record in the 4x100m relay. Many other football players have done great and met goals they've set during the track season. WMU boys track has really done a nice job of competing at most every event and meet that they've been a part of. Congratulations to Coach Klopfenstein, Coach Chambers, and Coach Doerring for getting those boys ready to participate.
Our golfers have had a nice season as well. Kaleb Hagge has had a nice follow up campaign as he looks to defend his Class 1A State championship. His teammates Kolt Rossiter, Kash Rossiter, Graham Hagge, BJ Rodgers, and Dalton Spencer have competed at a high level as well. Good luck to those gentlemen in the remainder of their season.
We have an opportunity to go to a team Camp put on the by the National Guard at the beginning of August. It sounds like a great opportunity for the team and these young men. We will be working on character and team building, football skills and fitness, and having some fun as well. I know the coaching staff is looking forward to this and hopefully the students are as well!
I've been approached by the Mt. Pleasant coach about a youth camp for our younger Wolves football players. I've attached the information below. It sounds like a great opportunity for our youngsters if they're interested.
It's been a great improvement season in the weight room for those that have committed themselves. Some of our older players might find themselves on the outside looking in due to the amount of work some of the younger guys are putting in. Hopefully they will see it as a challenge and fight against it.
Thanks for reading and support the Wolves!
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
