Our focus this year is to do the ordinary at an extraordinary level. We want to be so good at the simple that the opponent will need to use complex ideas to try and solve the problems we present.
Hall of Fame coach and one of the most winningest coaches in Division III John Gagliardi. He once said that he wanted ordinary men to do ordinary things at an extraordinary level. That is a great way to look at things. We aren't asking our kids to do anything special. Just execute simple skills at a high level of efficiency.
I have had to do some radio shows they've asked me what is a game we have circled on the schedule and it is this one. It doesn't matter who the opponent is. The game is important because we are getting to play after much of the world has shut down and we are living under a new set of rules, regulations and normalcy.
We have and will continue to face adversity throughout this season. I have a good feeling that the coaching staff and the players we have can continue to push through the adversity and give everything they have to put themselves in a position to be successful.
We are looking forward to this week and this season. I hope to see all of you there cheering on the Wolves, from a safe distance of course.
