Last Friday we were lucky enough to be covered by Dan Pearson of the ILLOWA FCA. He interviewed some of the WMU athletes after the game and did a nice story about the game. Please follow this link to watch the story. Also please share that link via your facebook and twitter pages so that we can get the word out for Mr. Pearson.
This week the WMU Wolves cracked the top 10 in the AP rankings for the first time in a long time. As many of you know that is quite an accomplishment but I hope that Wolves Nation as well as the players and coaching staff realize that rankings at this point, although nice to be recognized, don't really mean much at this point in the season. We need to continue to improve and compete everyday. We know what ranking we want at the end of the season and that is the one we will worry about when we get to that point.
Garret Baker was also named KCII player of the week for his performance against New London. It was a record breaking performance and he was interviewed Tuesday after practice and the interview will be on tonight on KCII around 6:30-6:45. Big thanks to Nate Gonner for the interview and the continual positive coverage of WMU football and our other sports. Check back tomorrow for the audio link of the interview.
Good things are happening down here at WMU. We just need to continue to focus, improve, compete and take care of business. Thanks for the positive support of what we are doing here to Wolves Nation.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
