Wolves come in with a 6-0 (4-0) record and are rated 10th in the AP polls. WACO is 3-3 (3-1) and looking to avenge last year's loss the the Wolves.
Last year's game was an exciting one that helped the Wolves clinch a playoff spot for the first time in 15 years. This year WACO is playing pretty good football and they have a very good running back in #32. He is a quick and durable runner that we will have to make sure we can keep contained if we are going to have success tonight.
Last week the Wolves went to New London and defeated the Tigers by a score of 46-14 and rolled up more than 430 yards and Garret Baker set a school record for TD receptions in a season. Hopefully we can add to that total tonight. WACO does a nice job up front with their angles and pulling their linemen to create some chaos for defenders.
Boys have had a great week of practice and I want to make sure I mention how great the scout team was. Those boys don't get enough credit and they had a great week of effort and giving great looks to the Varsity. Whether it was running the opponent's offense or defense those young men did a fantastic job. I feel confident that they will play well on Monday when the JV travels to WACO.
Cheer on your Wolves tonight and let's get another one!
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
