Good Monday Wolves Nation!
We are at the beginning of week 3 of the summer workout program. We were about six kids lower than usual today but the ones that came did a nice job. With the weather getting hotter and more humid and the workouts still being intense it is noted that all our athletes need to make sure they are getting and/or staying hydrated as well as eating well. We are to the point where if you've come and busted your tail everyday then we should start seeing some changes in your body. That being said you can't outwork a bad diet. Sleep is just as important as workouts. Let the body rest but don't be a lazy bum.
Baseball has been busy the past week and in the coming week. They play Columbus Junction tonight and I'm on the call at http://www.thewolvecast.com we will be live at 6:45 with some pre-game as well as first pitch soon after.
This past weekend was a big weekend for the WMU coaching staff. Coach Klopfenstein got hitched this past weekend in Algona. The home town of his bride Emily. Both myself and Coach Doerring were in the wonderful wedding and if you see Coach Klopfenstein tell him congratulations. The ceremony and reception were wonderful and we wish him and Emily nothing but wedded bliss and a lifetime of happiness. Also this weekend was Coach Doerring's birthday. Lot's of great things happening for the athletes of WMU as well as the coaches.
Keep working hard and pushing your sons to come and work hard at lifting. This is the point of the workouts where they become a little routine. We will change weights, lifts, and agilities next week with the beginning of week 4.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
