Good Wednesday morning. Middle of an exciting week here at WMU.
Boys track will compete Thursday, Friday, and Saturday up in Des Moines. Football players, Zach Davis will jump in the long jump. Garret Baker will perform in the 200 and as part of the 4 x200. Keaton Pallister, football alum, will also be running as part of the 4 x 200 relay team. We are also sending some distance runners in the 2 mile and mile.
Boys golf also competes tomorrow. The boys will play at Oskaloosa. They are playing for a team score as well as moving on as individuals. Kaleb Hagge and Kolt Rossiter moved on from the last round. Everyone is alive to move to the state tournament this time around. Good luck .
The football coaching staff wishes all football athletes that are competing in the next couple days good luck.
We had a meeting for boys in grades 7-11 currently on who is planning on lifting this summer. We had 46 athletes show up to the meeting. It is awesome but going to be stressful. Our facilities aren't big enough to hold that amount of athletes. We are going to have to do some strategic planning as a coaching staff so that we are efficient and getting our workouts done quickly, correctly, and getting stronger.
That's all for today.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
