Happy Monday Morning Wolves Nation. A beautiful day here in Winfield.
We received some great news on Friday and Saturday. Our golfers made it through and are on to the second round of post season. Kaleb Hagge won medalist and Kolt Rossiter earned a 3rd place finish. Both will move on individually as well as the team moving on. They will play Thursday at Oskaloosa. Congrats and good luck to those two and their teammates Sam Jennings, Zach Davis, Kash Rossiter and Thayne McElhinney.
Track also got some good news. Zach Davis jumped a 20'2" in the long jump which qualified him for the State meet. Garret Baker qualified in the open 200 as well as part of the 4 x 200 team. Other football players that made it were Keaton Pallister as a member of the 4 x 200 team. We also sent two guys in the 2 mile and 1 in the mile. Good luck to all those runners and congrats to Coach Doerring and Coach Klopfenstein.
We started the HIIT today. The boys can attest that a little bit different training but it is awesome. We had some tired kids and it is a workout. We did hang clean, push ups, and tricep extension. Four rounds of each with 30 seconds work time and 20 second rest. It was a great workout.
Not much else here. Make sure to check back this week for more updates and news!
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
