Good Thursday morning Wolves Nation. It is a busy day here at WMU. Track is hosting the annual WMU invite at the track and golf is hosting a quad out at the WMU Twin Lakes Golf Course. Should be a fresh day out there for them. It appears that it isn't going to be windy at least so maybe we will see some good times and some low scores.
This time next week I will be reporting and putting up the new max outs for our kids. This is the last week in our program. The boys have been in a deload week which means that the weight and reps are lower to give them back energy and strength for the max outs next week. I am looking a few of our boys to set huge PR's. I think we will also see that there will be some boys that are disappointed in their lifts, but there is no one to blame but themselves for their effort and attendance in the weight room. I continually want effort from these boys. For some it has become a habit, a lifestyle to lift and to lift hard. Others haven't quite figured out that lifting should be hard. You should be drenched in sweat when you are done with your workout. Take it from a guy that has done his fair share of training, if you leave the weight room and you haven't sweat, you didn't work. There is no excuse for not selling out when you workout. That is the only way to get better. Hopefully this next time around our kids will get the main principle of this and work their tails off.
Enjoy all the WMU activities today, go support one of the two programs and the football athletes.
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
