Happy Tuesday Morning Wolves Nation! Had great numbers in the weight room today. This included all our athletes that are participation today. We are getting to the point where they know that they can finish their workout at full go on a game day and know that it doesn't cause any ill effects on them, it might make them better on performance day.
Another big win last night for our boys golf program. They took care of IMS in dominating fashion. Kaleb Hagge won another medalist while the rest of the boys, Kolt Rossiter, Sam Jennings, Zach Davis, Kash Rossiter, and football alum Thayne McElhinney also took care of business in a dreary spring day. Today they travel to Durant for an all day tournament. I look for some good scores out of our guys again today.
Boys track travels to WACO tonight for WACO's big meet of the year. Might be a little chilly but I look for some of our guys to do some great things. The track team has been hit by the injury bug some this year and it is just a reminder to all athletes that you need to make sure you are warming up properly everyday. Never take warm-ups for granted because they are the start of your workout and getting a proper warm-up ensures that you will have a good workout and help yourself stay injury free.
We are coming up on the end of the year. We are at mid-term of the fourth quarter this week. A good reminder to our students that they need to be eligible at the end of the year so that it doesn't carry over into football season. It would be bad news to start the season ineligible because you couldn't finish a school year in the classroom. Learning to finish is a habit, finish in the classroom, the weight room, the practice field and on the game field. Never coast to a finish. No one great ever coasted, they worked their tails off. Have a great Tuesday!
For those before us, those of us now, and those that follow, WE ARE WMU!
